A THING MISLAID

Commissioned by China Plate, Warwick Arts Centre, mac Birmingham and In Good Company.

Available for touring Autumn 2018

A THING MISLAID (Previous working title The Interlude)......is a new Foo show in development. Above are some shots of the work so far after two research and development periods. We will be touring the show in Autumn 2018, so watch this space for more info, or get in touch if you'd like us to tour to you!

ABOUT THE SHOW

A THING MISLAID is a show about two lost clowns, who meet somewhere on the way to nowhere; and a thing mislaid, a thing without a flock, a thing on a journey to find home.

Maison Foo blend puppetry, objects and live camera with clowning and humour to tell their latest tale. Traveling through miniature worlds and surreal realities, A THING MISLAID explores themes of migration, journey & home, asking the question ‘where do we belong?’

We have made this show for a wide range of Foo followers...for grown ups, parents, grandparents and thier children. We have made this show to be enjoyed and then we hope discussed after in the cafe, bar, car or around the dinner table. We recommend young people come with an adult.

We would say it's unsuitable for young people under 8 years but anyone older is very welcome.

Funny engaging, characters connect with the audience. Very interesting to see where this is going. Visually stimulating it’s the start of something very interesting.
— Audience feedback at First Bite (Derby Theatre)
The Interlude is an intelligently crafted piece of theatre, which deals with a difficult but urgent subject matter in a visually rich and inventive way. The Performers are remarkable and the show is perfectly pitched for families and adults who want to engage both creatively and politically
— Ruby Glaskin, Producer In Good Company
Saved the best till last – brilliant performances, funny yet very current, topical/poignant issues covered – totally intriguing I want more please!! Love the visual puppetry too (excited).
